Creator lock
Your coins stay locked until graduation, then release a little each day. You can pick a longer lock at launch.
On the woopcurve your coins lock by themselves. There's nothing to turn on.
How the lock works
- Before graduation: everything you buy on the curve is locked, your advance and first buy included. You can't sell it or put it in the Exit Queue.
- After graduation: an equal amount releases each day, over 10 days unless you chose longer.
- Where your coins are: in a lock account held by woop's program, not your wallet. Released coins land in your wallet automatically each day, or you can claim them from the coin page.
At graduation, the coins for any part of your advance you haven't paid back are burned. The rest stay locked.
Everything the creator buys on the curve goes into a lock held by funklaunch’s program, the advance and first buy included.
Choosing a longer lock
At launch you can set:
| Setting | Choices |
|---|---|
| Cliff | how long after graduation before anything releases: none, 1 week, 1, 3 or 6 months, or a year |
| Release period | how long it takes to release everything, in equal daily parts: 10 days, 1, 3 or 6 months, or 1, 2 or 4 years |
You can make a lock longer later, but never shorter.
Why it's worth it
Traders always ask whether the creator can dump on them. Before graduation, you can't. A longer lock tells them you won't straight after, either.
Your coin page shows a Creator locked badge and how your coins release, and traders see the lock in the coin's rug signals.
If your coin doesn't graduate
Your coins stay locked. You get the same refund share as everyone else, based on what you put in, and your advance only counts as far as your fees paid it back. Nobody profits from a dead coin, you included.
