How a coin works
A fair start, the curve, graduation, then its own pool for good.
Every coin on funklaunch takes the same four steps, from first buy to forever.
- Fair start
- woopcurve
- Graduation
- WAMM pool
The first minute is one Fair Block: every buy in it, the creator’s included, fills at the same price. No snipers, no bundles.
1. Launch
The creator chooses a name, a ticker, a picture and a pair. It's free to launch; the only cost is about 0.03 SOL of Solana network fees.
The pair is what the coin is priced in, and what its holders get paid in. More in Pairs.
Creators also get a 1 SOL launch advance: their first 1 SOL of coins, paid back later out of their creator fees. More in The woopcurve.
2. The fair start
For the first 60 seconds the coin is one big Fair Block. Every buy in that window gets the same price, the creator's too. No wallet can put in more than 2% of the opening market cap, which is about $100. Instant trading only opens once the minute is up.
3. On the woopcurve
Next, people trade on the woopcurve as the coin climbs from a $5k market cap toward $50k. Buys lift the price; sells lower it.
| How you trade | Fee | Holders' slice |
|---|---|---|
| Instant buy, or any trade in a Fair Block | 1.5% | 0.6% |
| Instant sell | 10% | 4% |
| Filled through the Exit Queue | 1% each side | 0.55% each side |
While a coin is on the curve it only moves through funklaunch, so you can't send it to another wallet yet. More in The woopcurve.
4. Graduation
Once the curve sells out, the coin moves into its own WAMM pool automatically. Nobody has to press a button.
That's when every coin unlocks, and the creator's own coins start releasing a little each day.
A coin that hasn't graduated within 7 days of launch never will. Trading stops and everybody gets refunded. More in Refunds.
After that: the pool, for good
The coin keeps trading in its pool. Each trade pays 1%: 0.5% to holders, 0.2% to the creator and 0.3% to funklaunch. The liquidity can never be taken out.
Every number is on Fees.
