Hold-to-earn

Every trade of a coin you hold pays you. Hold longer and you earn more; sell and the clock resets.

When you hold a coin, you earn a slice of every trade made in it, by anyone. No staking and no locking: you just hold.

Where it comes from

TradeWhat holders get
On the curve (instant buys and Fair Blocks)0.6% of every trade
Instant sells4% of every sell
Exit Queue fills0.55% from each side
After graduation, in the WAMM pool0.5% of every trade

Instant sells pay 10%, so selling fast pays the people who stay.

You're paid in the coin's pair token. Hold a coin paired with SOL and you earn SOL; hold one paired with USD1 and you earn USD1.

Every trade in a coin, by anyone, pays part of its fee to the coin’s holders.

Working out your slice

Each payout period, every holder gets a score:

score = amount held × time held

Your slice of the holder fees is your score divided by everyone's scores added up.

Who gets what

10 SOL of holder fees to share this period

  • Wallet A

    1,000 × 30 days

    3 SOL

    30%

  • Wallet B

    10,000 × 2 days

    2 SOL

    20%

  • Wallet C

    5,000 × 10 days

    5 SOL

    50%

  • Holding more raises your score.
  • Holding longer raises your score.
  • So a small holder who's been in for weeks can out-earn a big holder who bought yesterday.

Selling resets the clock

If your balance drops at all, your time held goes back to zero for that period. That covers selling part of your bag, and putting coins into a Fair Block sell or the Exit Queue (coins waiting there aren't in your wallet, so they don't earn).

Nothing you've already earned is touched. It stays yours.

How you get paid

Fees are shared out in periods, which you can see on the coin page under Payouts. You don't have to do anything: every hour, funklaunch sends whatever you're owed straight to your wallet and covers the network fee.

Payouts arrive in the coin's pair token. On SOL coins they come as wrapped SOL, which is worth exactly the same; your next SOL trade on funklaunch turns it back into SOL, or you can unwrap it in your wallet.

Don't want to wait? Press Claim on the coin page or in your portfolio. Each payout or claim sends what's new since the last one, and nothing you're owed ever expires.

Checking it yourself

Payouts are published on-chain as a Merkle root by woop's woop_rewards program. Anyone can check that their amount is included, and the program only pays into the holder's own token account. More in Programs and addresses.
