Pairs
Each coin is paired with a quote token, and that's what holders get paid in.
A coin's pair is the quote token it's priced in. The creator picks it: SOL, a tokenized stock, gold, a dollar or a meme.
Whatever the pair is, that's what holders get paid in. Hold a coin paired with
NVDAx and your share of the fees arrives as NVDAx. Paired with
SOL? It arrives as SOL.
You buy a coin with its pair token, so on a
SOL pair you pay in SOL.
Every pair starts the same
Whatever the pair, every coin opens at a $5k market cap and graduates at $50k. The curve is set from the pair token's dollar price when the coin launches, then runs in the pair token from there, so graduation always lands at 10x the opening.
On a
SOL pair with SOL at $96, graduation takes about 125 SOL. More in The woopcurve.
Which pairs you can pick
The launch page shows every pair open for launches. A token can't be a pair if it has a transfer fee, a transfer hook, a permanent delegate or a pause switch.
Thin markets
A few pair tokens barely trade, with under $50k of liquidity. They carry a Thin market tag. You can still launch on one, but think it over: holders get paid in that token, and selling it may move its price.
A token whose ticker borrows a real asset's name (a meme called GME, say) gets a Lookalike ticker tag.
