FAQ

Quick answers to the questions people ask most.

The basics

Is funklaunch built on Raydium or pump.fun?

No. funklaunch is built on woop. Coins launch on the woopcurve and graduate into WAMM pools, and nothing launches on Raydium, pump.fun or Meteora. More in The woopcurve.

How much does trading cost?

1.5% on the woopcurve, for instant buys and Fair Blocks. Instant sells cost 10%, and Exit Queue fills cost 1% each side. After graduation, the WAMM pool charges 1%. Solana network fees come on top. More in Fees.

How much does launching cost?

funklaunch charges nothing. You pay about 0.03 SOL in network fees. Using a ticker another coin already has costs 1 SOL, which goes to that coin's holders.

What's a pair?

The quote token a coin trades against, like SOL, a tokenized stock or a dollar. Holders get paid in it. More in Pairs.

Do I need the pair token to buy?

You buy a coin with its pair token, so on a SOL pair you pay in SOL.

Holding

How do holders get paid?

Holders get 0.6% of curve trades, 4% of instant sells, 0.55% from each side of Exit Queue fills, and half the WAMM pool's 1% fee after graduation. Your share depends on how much you hold and how long you've held it. More in Hold-to-earn.

What happens when I sell?

Any drop in your balance resets your time held for that period. Whatever you've already earned stays yours.

Do I have to claim?

No. funklaunch sends what you're owed to your wallet automatically every hour and covers the fee. You can still press Claim if you want it sooner, and nothing you're owed ever expires.

Can I send my coins to another wallet?

Not until graduation. Before that, coins only move through funklaunch; at graduation they unlock for good.

What if a coin never graduates?

If it hasn't graduated 7 days after launch, trading stops and what's left in the curve is shared back according to what each wallet put in. funklaunch pays it out automatically. More in Refunds.

Creating

What do creators earn?

0.5% of curve trades, 3% of instant sells, 0.25% from each side of Exit Queue fills, a graduation bonus of 0.4% of the raise, and then 20% of the WAMM pool fee for as long as the coin trades. More in Creator fees.

What's the launch advance?

Your first 1 SOL of coins, bought in the fair start at the same price as everyone else. It's paid back from your creator fees, and if some is still owed at graduation, the coins for that part get burned. More in The creator's advance.

When can I sell my own coins?

Not before graduation. After it, an equal part releases each day over 10 days, or longer if you chose a longer lock. Locks can be extended, never shortened. More in Creator lock.

Can I switch pairs later?

No. The pair is fixed at launch.

Trading

What's the fair start?

The first 60 seconds of every coin. It's one Fair Block, so every buy in it gets the same price, the creator's included. No wallet can put in more than about $100.

What's a Fair Block?

Your order waits a few seconds alongside everyone else's, then they all settle at one price. Buys and sells are matched against each other, and only the leftover moves the curve. More in Fair Blocks.

Why do instant sells cost 10%?

So nobody can dump on holders. Most of that 10% goes to holders and the creator. Selling in a Fair Block costs 1.5%, and the Exit Queue costs 1%.

Why can't I trade instantly right now?

Instant trades pause during the fair start and while a Fair Block has orders in it (just a few seconds). After an instant sell, the next one has to wait a minute.

How do I sell a big bag without crashing the price?

Use the Exit Queue: your coins fill into instant buys at the curve's price and never below your floor. Or sell in a Fair Block, which has no size limit. More in Exit Queue.

Do Fair Blocks and the Exit Queue still work after graduation?

No. Once a coin graduates, every trade goes straight to its WAMM pool for 1%.

What do I get for holding $FUNK?

The same as holding any coin here: a share of every $FUNK trade, paid out every hour. Your fees stay the same. More in The $FUNK token.
