Launching a coin
Four steps, and free apart from about 0.03 SOL of network fees.
A launch takes four steps, and you can go back to any of them before you confirm.
Your coin launches on the woopcurve, the bonding curve funklaunch is built on, not on Raydium, pump.fun or Meteora.
What you need
- A Solana wallet with about 0.03 SOL for network fees.
- A name, a ticker and a square picture.
- Some of the pair token, if you want to buy more than the 1 SOL advance.
The four steps
- Coin. Upload your picture, then choose a name, a ticker (2 to 10 letters or numbers) and, if you like, a description. The picture appears on the coin page, in lists and on share cards. If your ticker already belongs to another coin, the form tells you; see Ticker protection.
- Pair. Choose the quote token your coin trades against. That's what holders get paid in. More in Picking a pair.
- Extras. All optional:
- Links to your website, X and Telegram.
- First buy: extra coins on top of the advance, bought in the fair start.
- Your lock: how long your coins take to release after graduation, 10 days or longer, with an optional cliff. More in Creator lock.
- Launch. Look everything over, then confirm in your wallet.
Your coin goes live right away and its fair start begins.

Upload a square image, then pick a name and a ticker. The form tells you straight away if the ticker is free.
The fair start
The first 60 seconds are one Fair Block. Every buy in it, including your advance and first buy, gets the same price when the minute ends. Nobody gets in before you or cheaper than you. No snipers, no bundles.
- Each wallet can put in up to 2% of the opening market cap, about $100. Your advance doesn't count toward that.
- Instant trades stay off until the start is over.
Your 1 SOL launch advance
You get a 1 SOL first buy for free. It's virtual, so no SOL leaves your wallet.
- It buys about 1.9% of the supply in the fair start, at the same price as everyone else.
- Your creator fees pay it back first. At 0.5% a trade, that takes about 200 SOL of curve trading.
- If your coin graduates with some of it still owed, the coins for that part are burned.
- If your coin doesn't graduate, the unpaid part gets no refund, so other holders lose nothing.
On a pair other than
SOL, the advance is 1 SOL's worth of the pair token at launch.
What it costs
| Cost | |
|---|---|
| funklaunch launch fee | free |
| Network fees | about 0.03 SOL |
| Launch advance | free, paid back from your creator fees |
| Your first buy | optional, plus the 1.5% trade fee |
| A ticker another coin already uses | 1 SOL, to that coin's holders |
The network fees pay for creating your coin's accounts on Solana. None of it goes to funklaunch.
Your coins
Everything you buy before graduation is locked, so you can't sell it or put it in the Exit Queue until your coin graduates. More in Creator lock.
Once it's live
- Share your coin's funklaunch link.
- Keep an eye on holders and volume on your dashboard.
- When the curve sells out (about 125 SOL of buying on a
SOL pair), your coin graduates into its WAMM pool by itself, at a $50k market cap. - If it hasn't graduated 7 days after launch, trading stops and everyone is refunded from what's in the curve, each getting back the same share of what they put in.
